Fortunately the Wolf Tooth Components Tanpan Inline 11-Speed Conversion is there for us, so we can run whatever drivetrain components our hearts desire, without feeling the need to sacrifice our drop bars.
The Wolf Tooth Tanpan expands the versatility of your road shifters by amplifying the cable pull, which enables seamless communication between your road shifter and mountain derailleur. In turn, you'll find an ideal setup for converting your gravel, cyclocross, or road bike to a 1x setup, and expanding to a larger cassette to offer you lower gearing for climbing up loose fire roads, or just creating a more relaxed feel. The Inline Tanpan attaches near your shifter with a few simple steps, we recommend attaching the Tanpan near below the stem for easy on-bike access to the barrel adjuster, so you can fine tune your shifting while on the bike, though other placements can be suitable as well. To achieve the best shifting, its recommended that you use a new, 1.1mm cable with the Wolf Tooth Tanpan.
